Twenty Four Years

Twenty four years ago today, I married the love of my life.
Twenty four years later, I celebrate just what a lucky lady I am.

We met when we were freshman in high school. We were in the same gym class. He was so damn cute in those gym shorts. We dated all through high school. We went to all of the dances and proms together. We were a couple. We were inseparable.

Five years later we got married at age 20. People said it would never work. They said we were too young. We hadn't lived life yet. We had no idea what we were getting into. We didn't know what we wanted out of life so how could we possibly think we'd found love, never mind our soul mate? They said it would never last. They were wrong.

We are soul mates. We are best friends. We are inseparable. We are a team. We are lovers. We are a couple. We are parents. We are in love. We are happy.

We are Donna & Steve.

See ya next time! :o)

Donna & Steve, I'm so happy for you and wanted you to know that you are an inspiration. I hope your children know how lucky and blessed they are to have their mom and dad still love one another after all these years.
