Twenty Four Years

Twenty four years ago today, I married the love of my life.
Twenty four years later, I celebrate just what a lucky lady I am.

We met when we were freshman in high school. We were in the same gym class. He was so damn cute in those gym shorts. We dated all through high school. We went to all of the dances and proms together. We were a couple. We were inseparable.

Five years later we got married at age 20. People said it would never work. They said we were too young. We hadn't lived life yet. We had no idea what we were getting into. We didn't know what we wanted out of life so how could we possibly think we'd found love, never mind our soul mate? They said it would never last. They were wrong.

We are soul mates. We are best friends. We are inseparable. We are a team. We are lovers. We are a couple. We are parents. We are in love. We are happy.

Happy Birthday to my guys!

It's been a busy month here at the Chaffy house.
Both of my boys are another year older.
Michael turned 18 on June 4th
and
Anthony turned 14 on June 21st.
So, happy birthday to both of my guys!!!
I'm so very proud of the young men you are becoming.

Our month-iversary!!

It's been one whole month since I've had a cigarette!!! When I quit I downloaded a program called the QuitKeeper. It keeps track of how long it's been, how much money and life you've saved, how many cigarettes you haven't smoked, etc. So here's what my QuitKeeper says today.

Wooohoooo!!! Steve also hasn't had a smoke in a month. The smokers in my family have been very supportive and have smoked outside when they've come over. So far so good!!!

Perfect SOL!!

I got a call from Anthony's English teacher on the first day of summer vacation. (Hmmm getting a call from a teacher AFTER school is out for the summer?? Not usually a good thing. LOL) But in this case it was. She was so pleased to tell me that they had just gotten the scores back for the Engish SOL (Standard of Learning) Test and Anthony got a perfect score of 600!!!! She wanted to be sure I knew and asked me to congratulate Anthony for her.

Wooohoooo! WTG, Anthony!!! We're very proud of you and we love you bunches!!
